***Visit us at London Wine Fair!!!***
Once again, 2016 sees Astrum Wine Cellars participating in London Wine Fair with full force; with a stand in both the main Italian section (Stand B26) and a table of fine wines in the View Tastings. It was truly exciting to watch the growth of London Wine Fair in 2015 and the establishment of this event as an absolute essential on the annual tasting calendar. Our main stand will take on the same format as last year, showing an intriguingly broad selection of wines from across the whole Astrum portfolio, whilst also championing a handful of producers who will feature more prominently. These producers, whose winemakers will travel over to be with us during the entirety of the event, will each have their own tables at the front of the stand, with space to guide visitors from on-trade, off-trade and independents through an extensive array of wines, and not just those imported by Astrum.
As advocates of smaller, family-run wineries, artisan production and of the promotion of unusual grape varieties that give the far more common, international varieties a real run for their money, we always have an excellently eclectic mix of winemakers at the fair and this year is no exception. So far in the line up, we have Montalbera - pioneers of the native Pietmontese grape Ruché di Castagnole Monferrato and their recently certified vegan wine; Verdicchio producer Sartarelli; Contini from Sardegna; Sicilian Centopassi with their elegant, organic, anti-Mafia wines, and the beautiful elegant wines from Lake Garda's Selva Capuzza. Ever sought-after Cantina Andriano return to the show this year, along with the legendary Benanti from Etna. Finally we are excited to have a whole table set aside to show our well-loved value ranges Vinvita and Mezzogiorno, both ranges rejuvenated and looking very polished from new packaging and labelling in the last year. Keen always to promote our producers outside the peninsula just as rigorously, we will have a couple of surprise appearances from our non Italian producers as well! Rest assured there will be some awesome, on-trend Austrian offerings, alternative South African wares and we will be dabbling in our selection from Germany, France, Slovenia, Hungary and Spain along the way too. Exciting stuff.
Looking forward to seeing you all either at our stand B26 or at our table in The View Tastings section!
