Double Trophy Success for Astrum at IWC 2013
We are delighted to announce that 2 of our producers have been awarded with trophies at the International Wine Challenge (IWC) this year.
Sartarelli has always been a benchmark for high quality Verdicchio but this was confirmed with the 2011 Verdicchio Classico dei Castelli di Jesi Tralivio winning IWC Verdicchio Trophy. The judges described it as a wine with “pithy citrus nose, full bodied steely lemon with a glorious texture and eternal finish. Great ageing potential.” And we love how wonderfully affordable it is too! For more information on Tralivio and all Sartarelli’s wines click here.
A special mention must also go to the incredible Hans Tschida who won an amazing 19 medals and 5 trophies including the very prestigious IWC Sweet Winemaker of the Year, for the fourth consecutive year. This man must be the Michael Phelps of the wine world! His sublime 2007 Samling 88 Tba also won 2 trophies including the Austrian Sweet Trophy. Whilst we still have some in stock, get your hands on it quickly and taste gold. Click here to read more about all of the Tschida wines.
