Our Philosophy

Since the beginning in the late nineties,
we at Astrum have worked very hard in concentrating our efforts to import and represent the best wines and spirits Italy and Central Europe have to offer without ever compromising on a simple rule: never import anything that we wouldn’t be happy to drink ourselves.

All of us at Astrum are wine lovers first and foremost, and we enjoy a glass of wine just as much as you do. All the wines we offer tell you a little bit about who we are, and so we are adamant in ensuring that each of our wines represents our philosophy in wine to the fullest.

For this reason, you won’t find any wines that might be in fashion but that we don’t like, or those wines that don’t speak to us of the grapes they are supposed to be made with; instead, just high quality smaller and larger estates, and often lesser known grape varieties or forgotten wine production zones that we have searched for near and far.

In fact, we are proud to have been pioneers in the representation of overlooked areas, grape varieties and different styles of wines.

From the best Italian white wines to the great reds of Northern Piedmont, from the ignored indigenous grapes of Southern Italy to the wonderful wines of Central and Eastern Europe; from importing the greatest number of cooperatives to any company of much larger sized domaines, our work is driven by passion, commitment to quality and by a set of firm beliefs that are the foundation of our work.
